Anas and I worked together as developers in woocommerce.com, and one project that comes to mind as a good example of his strengths was our work on woocommerce.com, specifically, improving the platform’s capacity to support a larger number of connected WooCommerce stores.

This was a non-trivial scalability challenge. It required understanding how the connection layer behaved under load, identifying where things broke down, and implementing solutions that wouldn’t just patch the problem temporarily.

Anas contributed meaningfully throughout that process. He was thorough, technically grounded, and brought the kind of attention to detail that work at that scale demands.
